August 31st, 2014 - Tony Jackson Jr. Finds Victory Lane at Wheatland!
After Mother Nature washed out the COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) doubleheader over the weekend, Tony Jackson Jr. turned his sights to Lucas Oil Speedway (Wheatland, Missouri) for a Lucas Oil Midwest Late Model Racing Association (MLRA) event.

A talented field of thirty-four Super Late Models were on hand for the $3,000-to-win race. An action packed night of racing began with Tony advancing from seventh to finish fourth in his heat race, earning him the eleventh starting position on the feature grid.

Jackson Jr. climbed through the field during the course of the 40 lap feature to find himself within striking distance. As the front of the pack battled through heavy lapped traffic late in the race, Jackson Jr. made contact with early leader, Will Vaught in turn one. The incident cut down Vaught's left rear tire, and he was forced to pit. From there, Jackson Jr. assumed the point only to see the caution wave again two laps later when he and Jason Bodenhamer in turn one.

Back underway, Tony held on for his first ever Super Late Model victory at Lucas Oil Speedway, taking the checkered flag ahead of Jack Sullivan, Jesse Stovall, Mark Burgtorf, and Chad Simpson.

The Mid America Racing Series (MARS) competitors went head-to-head with the United Midwestern Promoters (UMP) drivers over the weekend with a pair of $5,000-to-win events in Kentucky and Missouri.

The weekend opened for Tony Jackson Jr. on Friday evening at Paducah International Raceway (Paducah, Kentucky). Twenty-one Super Late Model registered for the program, and a third place finish in heat race action positioned Tony starting eighth on the feature grid. During the course of finale Jackson Jr. advanced to a fourth place finish behind race winner, Jason Feger, Tanner English, and Billy Moyer.

Action shifted to Federated Raceway at I-55 (Pevely, Missouri) on Saturday night, as twenty-eight entries converged on the 1/3 mile oval. Tony claimed the win in the first heat race, earning him the pole position for the feature with Brandon Sheppard alongside. Jackson Jr. outdueled Sheppard for the top spot at the drop of the green flag, leading the first sixteen circuits until fourth starting Billy Moyer assumed the point. The team set out to enter a doubleheader at Junction Motor Speedway (McCool Junction, Nebraska) over the weekend. The annual King of the Hill was sanctioned by the MARS DIRTcar Series, Lucas Oil Midwest Late Model Racing Association (MLRA), and the National Championship Racing Association (NCRA).

Friday night's program boosted a $2,000 winner's check, and drew a field of twenty-eight Super Late Models to the oval. Tony fell short of the transfer via his heat race, and had to run a b-main where he came from fourth to claim the win. As a result he would line up thirteenth on the feature grid. In the main event Jackson Jr. advanced three positions to register a tenth place finish at the checkered flag.
