October 9th, 2016 - Jackson Jr. Competes in Busy Weekend
Competing in the two-day Fall Nationals, Tony Jackson Jr. traveled to Lucas Oil Speedway (Wheatland, Missouri) on Friday for the event sanctioned by both the Lucas Oil Midwest Late Model Racing Association (MLRA) and the COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS). In a field of 53 cars, Jackson Jr. secured his spot into the A-Main with a 3rd place finish in his heat. With $3,000 on the line, Tony landed a 9th place outing in the opening night 40-lap feature.

Returning on Saturday for the $5,000-to-win show, Tony fell one position short of a transfer spot in his heat with a 3rd place outing. Sending the Top 2 out of the B-Main and into the feature, Jackson Jr. stormed to a consolation win locking his spot into the main event. Closing out the MARS DIRTcar Series season, Tony Jackson Jr. stopped at Springfield Raceway (Springfield, Missouri) on Sunday for the Showdown on Route 66. Battling for a $6,600 payday in the A-Main, Jackson Jr. was an early retiree from the main event. Securing his fourth-straight title, Tony Jackson Jr. was crowned the MARS DIRTcar Series point's crown.
