April 17th, 2016 - Busy Weekend for TJR Racing
Piloting the Odell Trucking #56 Super Late Model, Tony Jackson Jr. headed to Davenport Speedway (Davenport, Iowa) on Friday night for the Midwest Sanction Showdown featuring both the MARS DIRTcar Series and the Corn Belt Clash Late Model Series. With twenty-eight cars signed in, Jackson Jr captured a heat race win securing his spot for the $5,000-to-win A-Main. The following night brought Jackson Jr. to 34 Raceway (West Burlington, Iowa) for the $10,555-to-win Slocum 50. Transferring the top four out of the heats, Tony edged his way into the main event with a 4th place spot. With 50 laps to gain some ground, Tony Jackson Jr. notched a 10th place outing.

Wrapping up the weekend, Tony visited State Fair Speedway (Sedalia, Missouri) on Sunday afternoon for the $5,000-to-win show. Placing 6th in his heat, Jackson Jr. locked his spot into the 30-lap A-Main. With $5,000 on the line, Tony Jackson Jr. notched a 7th place finish. (John Vass Photo)

April 9th, 2016 - TJR Competes in MLRA Opener
Competing with the Lucas Oil Midwest Late Model Racing Association (MLRA), Tony Jackson Jr. visited Lucas Oil Speedway (Wheatland, Missouri) on Saturday night for the series opener. Drawing forty-one cars for the two-day Spring Nationals, Tony failed to transfer in his heat sending him into the B-Main. Coming from the third row, Jackson Jr. scored a 2nd place finish in the consolation event securing his spot for the $2,000-to-win A-Main. Improving nine positions in the feature, Tony Jackson Jr. recorded an 11th place outing.

Saturday night proved to be better for Tony as he started the night off with a heat race victory, placing him 8th on the starting grid for the main event. With $5,000 on the line, Jackson Jr. advanced his way into a top five finish. Up to second at one point in the 45-lap affair, Tony Jackson Jr. notched a 4th place finish behind Brian Shirley, Bobby Pierce, and Brantlee Gotschall with Randy Timms coming in 5th.
