September 2, 2018 - Top 5 Finish in 4-State Dirt Track Championship at Monett
Tony Jackson Jr. kicked off the Labor Day Weekend on Thursday at Tri-City Speedway (Granite City, Illinois) for Thursday Night Thunder. After coming in second fastest in his qualifying group, Tony scored a 2nd place finish in his heat behind Gordy Gundaker positioning him 4th on the starting grid for the A-Main. Falling one spot shy of a Top-10 finish, Jackson Jr. slipped back to a 11th place outing.

On Friday night Jackson Jr. headed to Lee County Speedway (Donnellson, Iowa) for the Lucas Oil Midwest Late Model Racing Association (MLRA) sanctioned program. In a field of 20 cars, Tony locked his spot into the $3,000-to-win A-Main with a heat race victory. Jumping out to an early lead, Jackson Jr. held the top spot for the first 15 circuits until Will Vaught slipped by. Suffering a flat-tire on the next lap, Tony rejoined the field from the tail only to lose a driveshaft six laps later.

The following night at Lucas Oil Speedway (Wheatland, Missouri) for the Larry Phillips Memorial, Tony logged a 7th place finish in his heat sending him into the B-Main. Scoring a 3rd place finish, Jackson Jr. earned the 19th-starting position for the $5,075-to-win A-Main. Breaking into the Top-10, Tony Jackson Jr. gained nine spots in the 50-lapper to place 10th.

Wrapping up the Labor Day weekend, Tony stopped at Monett Motor Speedway (Monett, Missouri) on Sunday for the 4-State Dirt Track Championship. Coming in 4th in his heat, Jackson Jr. locked into the $3,000-to-win finale. Reeling in a Top-5 finish, Tony Jackson Jr. notched a 4th place spot behind Will Vaught, Chad Simpson, and J.C.
