Brian Shirley captured heat race number three by holding off a hard-charging Jared Landers. Defending Show-Me 100 winner and Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series National Champion, Don O’Neal grabbed the third and final transfer spot.

Jonathan Davenport; who is seeking his first career crown-jewel victory; outdueled Kent Robinson and Shane Essary in heat number five.

The sixth and final heat race saw youngster Devin Moran scoring the win to qualify for his first-ever Show-Me 100. Austin Siebert also transferred to his first career crown-jewel event, taking the second position ahead of Jacks Sullivan, who charged from his eighth starting spot to secure the third and final transfer position.

In preliminary action, Jesse Stovall set the overall Miller Welders Fast Time (Group A) amongst the 80 entrants, with a lap of 15.962 seconds. Billy Moyer set the fastest time in Group B with a time of 16.093 seconds. The winner of the 20-lap, Midwest Sheet Metal Show-Me Challenge has the choice of keeping their $2,000 winnings, or forfeiting their earnings to start last in the main event. The Lucas Oil Show-Me 100 main event will follow the Midwest Sheet Metal Show-Me Challenge on Saturday night. The Pitts Homes Modifieds will cap off the weekend action with their $1,000-to-win main event.
