Fourth-place finish in MLRA finale at Tri-City

Taking part in the Lucas Oil Midwest LateModel Racing Association (MLRA) finale weekend, Tony Jackson Jr. headed to Tri-City Speedway (Granite City, Ill.) on Friday afternoon. In a stout field of 47 cars, Jackson Jr. timed in fourth fastest overall in time trials before placing second in his heat. The following night, Tony posted a third place finish in his heat, which positioned him 12th on the starting grid for the $7,000-to-win finale. Passing eight cars in the 40-lap affair, Jackson Jr. reeled in a fourth place finish behind Billy Moyer, Bobby Pierce, and Ryan Gustin with Chad Simpson coming in fifth.

Sunday night’s MLRA finale at Randolph County Raceway (Moberly, Mo.) fell victim to Mother Nature.

Tony finished fourth in the final MLRA point standings.
